Parastou & Clint // Married

Parastou and Clint were married exactly one month ago at Casa Real in Pleasanton. Wanted to share a few of my favorite portraits from their day. When you’re around these two, it’s easy to see how deeply they love each other. I heard a bit of Clint’s prayer before the ceremony, and he was in complete tears as he prayed for their day & future together. I remember getting a bit choked up thinking about how happy I am that they’ve found each other.

I know you guys have nothing but an amazing future ahead of you. Can’t wait to see it all unfold.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

C & W Married in Mexico // Sneak

The morning of my flight, I pulled out my phone to get a dose of my daily devotionals.

It read, “You are on the path of My choosing. There is no randomness about your life.

It hit me like a ton of bricks. How the choices we make bring us to where we are now. Whether bad or good, they shape us. They are choices that make us stronger, change us for the better, and bring us incredible amounts of joy. Choices that bring genuine friendships, and a partner for life. All a part of the journey.

It’s not random. Not random at all.

Christina & Will’s day. 6 years in the making. Choices made one after the other led them to marry in Mexico in front of their closest family and friends. Somewhere along the way, they chose me to take part of their day with them.

This story. I cannot wait to share.

Out of the office…MEXICO!

The past few weeks have been insane, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Been home for a week, then headed back out again.

Leaving on a jet plane again for Christina and Will’s wedding. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Bright and early, before the sun rises. I’ll be at the airport. One of my favorite places believe it or not.

This. Really, my heart couldn’t be more full lately. Trying to soak every moment here, and away. Letting it make my heart grow bigger with thankfulness.

Please excuse any delays when it comes to email. I’ll try to respond when I can, and will be back to this very desk in full go mode on May 8th.

Lots of things to share since wedding season is here.

Until then, here’s a frame from my most recent wedding. Lisa and Teddy!

Guest Blogging – The Journey is Worth It

When I first began photography, I attended workshops to help me get started. In 2009, I attend Jasmine Star’s The Workshop in Orange County.

It’s been a few years now, and so much has changed. Jasmine has always been a person I’ve looked up to. Not only is she incredibly encouraging, but she’s kept it real from the very beginning. When she asked me to be a guest blogger while she was away in Malaysia, I couldn’t believe it. I am extremely honored that she chose me to share what I’ve learned since coming to her workshop in 2009.

Here is a link to the post from last week. I wrote it in hopes of encouraging those on this same journey to never give up. Writing it was special because it will always remind me that everything I’ve done/doing is worth it.

It’s not about how fast you get there, it’s the journey that’s worth it.

M & B // Married in Maui : Sneak

I can’t believe I’m home now. Hawaii was magic. Absolute magic! While I headed out there a bit early to explore, (first timer here, and darn right I went to a luau) the main reason was for Megan and Burt’s wedding. Through the mountains, down the beach, up at the palm trees. I couldn’t be more happy during my time there this past week. It felt damn good to be there. It also felt damn good toΒ photograph some parts of the day barefoot.

While this may seem like the littlest thing to some, it’s something I’ll never forget.

That first time in Maui.

Here’s just a few from their day that I couldn’t wait to share. They’re MAUI’ED! ; )

Here’s to dreaming, more barefoot shooting, and never ending gratefulness for opportunities.
